P.R.I.C.E Injury Protocol your first help

P.R.I.C.E.
Is right first aid for muscle and joint injuries
"P" is for Protection
"R" is for Rest
"I" is for Ice
"C" is for Compression
"E" is for Elevation


"P" Protection - make sure that you will protect your affected side and nothing make it worst. If it's possible move yourself to safer area if someone is available ask for help. If there is a doubt wait for assistance.
"R" Rest - it's a every important function and everybody knows that! Not only for entire body mind and soul. But mainly for injury. It speeds up the process of recovery.
"I" Ice - is very good in the beginning of injury. It helps to reduce pain, edema and inflammation. Use everything that is cold if it's more flexible then better!
"C" Compression - it helps decrease swollen area. Use bandage, shawl, part of your clothes.
"E" Elevation - if it's possible above your heart so that can help reduce swollen area and improve the blood flow from injured area.

Do not underestimate this simple things! Use as well proper ointment to reduce pain and inflammation. If nothing helps contact your physician. Ask for the survey, plan of the treatment, prescription with properties such as: pain relieve and anti-inflimmatory.
